World Book Day and Creative Week Fun!
The last few weeks in Senior Infants have been very busy and exciting" We had great fun celebrating World Book Day. Willy Wonka brought golden tickets for us to find and it was great fun trying to find them It was also wonderful to see everyone’s fantastic costumes!
In Maths we have been learning about Capacity. We have really enjoyed measuring and pouring using different containers and comparing how much each one can hold. There has been lots of careful pouring and great discussion about full, empty and nearly full.
Our Aistear theme has been The Garden Centre. The classroom was full of busy gardeners as the children enjoyed role playing, pretending to plant spring flowers and taking care of their garden shop.
Jimmy, Arthur and Xinyan took part in Picker Pals and told the class all about the litter they collected. It was great to hear about the important work they did helping to keep the environment clean. Peigí, Charlotte and John also shared their fun adventures with Blu and the class really enjoyed listening to their stories.
We also celebrated James’ birthday which was a very happy occasion in our classroom. Oscar brought in a very fun experiment to show the class and everyone loved watching and learning from it.
Creative Week was another highlight. We enjoyed taking part in Drop Everything and Draw and the children proudly brought in their creative projects to share with the class. It was wonderful to see so many different ideas and talents!
