Ms Lambe’s Junior Infants were so excited to visit Mount Eden today to meet up with their buddies in Mr Keenan’s 5th Class. The 5th Classes had organised a fantastic range of activities including football goals, skipping, novelty games and the parachute.
The students in Mr Keenan’s class could not have been kinder, more patient or more encouraging to the little ones. They were truly amazing with their buddies and made the day so special for the Junior Infants. It was wonderful to see how much the 5th Classes enjoyed the experience too. A huge thank you to Mr Keenan and all of the 5th Classes for such a memorable day!

Well done to all of the girls in 5th and 6th class for their fantastic effort and commitment throughout this year’s Cumann na mBunscol camogie season. The girls represented the school with great pride, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship in all three of their matches.
From the very beginning of the season, the dedication shown by the team was outstanding. Every Thursday morning, the girls arrived to training ready to work hard, improve their skills, and support one another. Their positive attitude and teamwork were clear to see both at training sessions and on match days.
Over the course of the competition, the girls demonstrated great determination, resilience, and skill on the pitch. They never gave up, encouraged each other throughout every game, and showed excellent respect towards teammates, opponents, and referees. It was wonderful to see the confidence and teamwork develop as the season progressed.
A huge thank you also goes to everyone who supported the team during the season. The girls should be extremely proud of their efforts and achievements. Well done to all involved on a brilliant camogie season!
Bhí an t-ádh orainn beirt dhamhsóirí iontacha a bheith linn do Sheachtain na Gaeilge. Tháinig Seán O’Brien ó Reel Irish Dance Entertainment agus Ada ó Riverdance chun damhsa Gaelach a mhúineadh do Rang a Dó go Rang a Sé i Mount Eden.
D’fhoghlaim na daltaí roinnt bunchéimeanna agus damhsaí céilí. Bhí sé iontach féachaint ar Sheán agus Ada ag damhsa le stíl agus galántacht. Bhí spraoi agus craic againn ar fad!
We were very lucky to welcome two fantastic Irish dancers as part of our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations. Seán O’Brien from Reel Irish Dance Entertainment and Ada, a current dancer with Riverdance, visited Mount Eden to teach Irish dancing to pupils from 2nd to 6th class.
The pupils learned some basic Irish dancing steps and céilí dances. It was wonderful to watch Seán and Ada dance with such style and elegance. The boys and girls had great fun and really enjoyed the experience.
In the lead up to Seachtain na Gaeilge, Ms. O’Donnell taught Rang a Sé some basic Irish dancing steps during class. The pupils learned the three's, the seven's, and even tried some simple céilí dances. Bhí an-spraoi againn agus bhí gach duine ag baint taitnimh as an damhsa!
The boys and girls were really excited to try something new and had an absolute blast learning the steps together.
Rang a Sé then had the wonderful opportunity to share what they had learned by teaching a simple céilí dance to the pupils in Belmont as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhí an sproí ag na paistí i Naíonáin Shóisearacha agus Naíonáin Shinsearacha. Béidh seans ag Rang a hAon damhsa a dhéanamh an tseachtain seo chugainn.
Bhí an ceol, an rince agus an gáire le cloisteáil timpeall na háite – bhí craic agus ceol againn!Camogie training has officially begun for the Rang a Sé girls! Ms. O’Donnell and Ms. Dunphy have started Thursday morning training sessions, and the girls have already shown fantastic enthusiasm.
Each week they arrive ready to train, demonstrating great dedication and motivation. The coaches are very impressed with the skills that have been shown so far and the positive attitude the girls bring to every session.
There is a real sense of excitement building as the team looks forward to the Cumann na mBunscol games which will begin after Easter. We wish the girls the very best of luck as they continue to train and prepare for the upcoming matches!
The blitz was organised by Leinster Rugby, and the girls enjoyed a fantastic morning of rugby, playing a number of games against other schools.
A big thank you to Leinster Rugby for organising such a well-run event. Well done to all the girls for their excellent effort and attitude on the day!
