Spring has Sprung!

The last few weeks in our classroom have been full of adventure and fun! In Science, we explored Materials by building our own houses using sticks, straws and bricks. To test how strong they were, 'The Big Bad Hairdryer' paid a visit which was a great laugh!

Jimmy shared his beautiful artwork with the class, inspired by a fox he saw while out with his Dad. We are also creating clay birds’ nests and Lucy showed us a beautiful Valentine’s-inspired Play-Doh creation whilst Arthur enjoyed creating a 3D car!

In Aistear, our theme is The Sports Shop. The children have loved buying items, taking on different roles and solving problems when customers are not happy, helping to build communication and teamwork skills.

We also created art inspired by Etel Adnan, producing colourful and expressive pieces. In English, the children have really enjoyed report writing on a variety of animals, learning how to organise information and share facts clearly.

Oscar, Cian, and Clodagh told us about the adventures they had with Blu and Rosie and Conn shared how much litter they collected whilst having the Picker Pals. It has been a wonderful start to Spring and we are very proud of all the learning and effort taking place in our classroom.
