Ms. Finnegan and Ms. Grace’s Senior Infants have been busy exploring numbers through hands-on learning in Maths. This week, the children have been working with ten frames to help them build their understanding of numbers, counting, and number combinations
Using counters, the children filled their ten frames to show different ways of making numbers up to ten. They worked together to spot patterns, compare amounts, and talk about what they noticed. They used their maths eyes and plenty of maths talk.
Everyone really enjoyed using the ten frames — it made learning about numbers fun, visual, and interactive. Well done to all our mathematicians in Senior Infants for their great work and teamwork this week!
