Oíche Shamhna at Saint Mary's 🎃👻

We had a wonderful week celebrating Oíche Shamhna at Saint Mary’s!

The Belmont Campus was very lucky to receive a visit from the Donnybrook Fire Brigade, where we got to explore their impressive fire trucks and learn all about Halloween safety. The firefighters taught us how to stay safe during Halloween and how to call 999 or 112 in case of an emergency.

Junior Infants had a fantastic time trying out the fire hoses, they even gave the school’s windows a good wash!

A big thank you to Ms. Finnegan for organising the visit from the fire brigade, and to the Student Council for creating a fabulous trick-or-treating trail for everyone to enjoy.

To mark the end of a fantastic half term, the boys and girls dressed up in their amazing Halloween costumes and enjoyed a fun-filled party and disco to kickstart the mid-term break.

Well done to all the boys and girls for their wonderful costumes and the incredible effort they have shown in school so far!
