We had a truly magical December in Junior Infants!
The month began with a very special arrival from Tinsel Toes, who came to check that all the boys and girls were really as good as Santa had heard. Tinsel Toes certainly kept us busy with his mischievous ways!
We enjoyed cosy afternoons unwrapping a new book from under the Christmas tree each day. It was wonderful to hear the children speak about their chosen book, why they selected it and what they loved about it.
The children performed an incredible Christmas play which they worked so diligently on, and we were so proud of each and every one of them. We also ventured to the Mill Theatre in Dundrum to see the pantomime Hansel and Gretel. A very big thank you to Paddy’s mum, Fiona, for joining us on this very exciting trip.
We were delighted to welcome Gabi from Creative Schools, who helped us create unique Christmas tree ornaments made from felt using water and soap. There was lots of fun and splashing involved!
On the last day of term, the boys and girls wore fabulous Christmas jumpers and raised money for a very worthy cause. We were met with a very special surprise on our final day when Tinsel Toes left us a well-earned treat of delicious hot chocolate, we couldn’t believe our eyes!
We look forward to a very happy and healthy 2026 filled with plenty of fun and learning in Junior Infants. 🎄✨
