Today our class had a very special visit from Claire and her guide dog, Holly. Claire shared her experiences of living with a visual impairment and explained the important role Holly plays as her guide dog. Many thoughtful and insightful questions were asked about how Holly is trained, how she helps Claire navigate the world, and what daily life is like working as a guide dog team. It was a wonderful learning experience for everyone and helped us all gain a greater understanding of independence, accessibility, and the amazing work guide dogs do.
