We have had a wonderful half term in Junior Infants and have been busy making great progress with our early writing. In the lead-up to Valentine’s Day, the children completed their very first independent writing pieces using the prompt “Love is…”.
This gave the boys and girls a lovely opportunity to use their growing phonics knowledge, practise writing sentences, and share their own ideas in writing. It has been fantastic to see their confidence developing and to witness the progress they are making.
Their responses were very imaginative, creative and of course full of love.
We also thoroughly enjoyed Creative Schools Week, where we got to celebrate creativity in all its forms. A big thank you to Ms. Lambe for a wonderful Creative Schools Week! It was great to see the fantastic artwork and creative pieces the boys and girls made at home and shared with such pride in class.
We are so proud of all their hard work.
