We had such a memorable day today in Saint Mary’s N.S. as we held our Ceolchoirm in Belmont and Mt. Eden to close our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations.
Bhí na ranganna uilig thar barr agus bhí siad iontach ag canadh a gcuid amhrán ranga. The effort and enthusiasm from all the children was wonderful to see.
Both campuses sang Amhrán na bhFiann and we enjoyed fantastic showcases of traditional Irish music and Irish dancing. It truly was phenomenal.
Bhí duine an speisialta againn i Mt. Eden freisin – Andrea Corr. She sang the beautiful song “Buachaill Ón Éirinn” so fantastically – it was incredible. Andrea then joined Ms. Lyons to play some traditional music together, which was a very special moment for everyone there.
What a wonderful way to finish a fabulous week celebrating our language and culture.
