Celebrating World Book Day 📖✨

5th Mar 2026

We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day in our classroom!
The day was filled with excitement, imagination, and of course, lots of books.

We started by enjoying a special story read aloud together, which sparked great discussion and plenty of laughter. The classroom was also full of fantastic costumes, as students arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, it was amazing to see so many creative ideas brought to life!

Throughout the day, students shared their favourite books and talked about what they think makes a book great. From exciting adventures to funny characters and beautiful illustrations, everyone had something different they loved about reading.

We also spent time exploring book blurbs and discussing how they help readers decide if they might enjoy a story. The students became “blurb detectives,” looking for clues about the characters, setting and main problem in each book.

It was a joyful day celebrating stories, creativity, and a shared love of reading. Happy World Book Day!
