Buildings inspired by Hundertwasser created by Ms. O'Gara's Class!
26th Nov 2025
This term, our class explored the colourful, imaginative world of the Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. After learning about his love of shapes, curved lines, uneven floors, domed roofs and bright, nature-filled designs, the children worked in groups to create their own Hundertwasser-inspired buildings.
Each group planned and constructed a unique model using mixed materials. The children incorporated key Hundertwasser features such as bold colours, spirals, “tree tenants,” and rooftop gardens.
The final buildings are wonderfully imaginative and reflect both Hundertwasser’s artistic style and the children’s own ideas. We are delighted to share their designs with you.
