Yesterday, Ms. O’Donnell’s class had the joy of visiting the Sisters of Charity Nursing Home, and it truly was a wholesome, heart-warming day from start to finish. The residents were absolutely delighted with the children’s beautiful singing and the Christmas cards they received. The nursing home was full of Christmas cheer and smiles all around. The residents couldn’t help but clap along and share in the magic of the moment as the children sang.
The visit reminded the children of the true meaning of Christmas — ní bhaineann sé le bronntanais ná an taobh tráchtála, but with kindness, connection, and spreading joy to others. Spending time with the residents showed them that the greatest gift we can give is often our time, our presence, and our hearts.
As a little reward for their wonderful effort, the children enjoyed hot chocolate in Café Nero on the way back to school.
It was a lovely, wholesome, festive day — one we will all remember. 🎄✨
