Senior Infant Scientists

17th Nov 2023

We had an exciting week here in Senior Infants!

As part of science week we conducted various experiments in our classroom.

Our first experiment involved creating soundproof earmuffs and exploring various materials to see which ones would prove most effective. As part of the scientific process we  started off by making predictions and recorded these in our SESE copies. We had great fun conducting the experiment and then revisited our predictions and recorded our results in our copies.

On Friday we took part in a STEM Challenge where the children had to design and create towers using only two materials; playdoh and dry spaghetti. Well done to the grúpa dearg who created the tallest tower and won this challenge!
