Oral language: We are starting book reviews this week. Each week a group of children will be picked to talk about their favourite book. They can choose a book that was read to them or a book that they have read. They can talk about the plot, favourite characters, other books by the author, their favourite part and what they would give the book out of ten (these are just suggestions). Children do not need to write anything down but it would be helpful to practice their book review at home. This is an opportunity to encourage more interest in reading and a chance to practice oral language development. Book reviews will be presented on the Thursday of each week.
