We are having such fun being back at school :) We all really missed our friends over the summer and are really looking forward to making new friends in our class this year. Have a look at some pictures below of us making our monsters!
We had great fun throughout Maths Week - with Numeracy stations, shape art and maths games, however, the highlight was definitely the Maths Trails. Have a look at some pictures below
Despite the rain, all of the children had the chance to do some planting as part of Science week. A big thank you to Sinead who was there to help us and show us exactly what to do. Our class were planting daffodils, so we'll look forward to taking more pictures with our flowers when they're in full bloom in the Spring!
We had such an exciting day today as we tried out one of our spells that we'd written up in our Book of Spells. There were some very interesting (and smelly) ingredients.... vampire blood, moon dust, mermaid hair and even some monster wee! There was great excitement as the potion seemed to be working its magic and started spilling out of the pot. Luckily, it didn't manage to turn any of us into frogs - Phew!
Ar maidin, d'ith gach duine bairín breac. Bhí fainne sa bhairín breac. Fuair Jessie an fáinne.
What a busy first month we've had in Senior Infants. All of the children have settled back into school so well and have had great fun making new friends - as well as catching up with friends from last year.
Have a look at some of our pictures from our maths stations. Lots of different ways to explore and learn about number, patterns and counting... and so much fun too!
Now that October is here, we'll soon be starting to get ready for Halloween! The student council have invited all children to write a poem or draw a picture about Halloween - some may even be selected for a special Halloween newsletter.

Our Happy Thoughts
I am kind, I say kind things and I do kind things.
I am safe here with my friends.
I am important, you are are important!
When I fall down, I get back up!
When you fall down, I help you up!
I try my best, I make an effort.
I believe in myself, I can do this!
I say thank you, please and pardon.
We are a team - I care about you, you care about me.
I take deep breaths when I find something tricky or hard to do.
I am helpful and I am friendly.
I am a good listener.
I am special, you are special.
I make good choices.
When I practise something everyday,
I get better at it straight away!
