This month our Aistear theme has been ‘The Restaurant’. We have been role playing – the waiter, waitress, chef and customers and using all the language involved. We made pizzas in junk art, as well as lovely dinner plates. We constructed restaurants, made menus and food using play dough. We have painted Autumn reflections, Halloween art and much much more. We are looking forward to Mummy’s and Daddy’s seeing some of our work this week. We have been doing literacy stations on Mondays and Wednesdays and have been practicing our sounds really well. We love Junior Infants! Have a look at our photos and see what we have been getting up to!
Today we were lucky enough to meet a real live hedgehog! We learned that hedgehogs are nocturnal, they like to eat insects and worms and they sleep in piles of leaves! They don't like being handled by lots of people so we were very calm and quiet when we met Almond. It was scuh a lovely surprise!
We have an actioned packed first month of school. Take a look at our photos to see what we have been getting up to!
We had a lovely first day in Junior Infants! We settled into our routine and school life in general so quickly! We have all made great friends so far and can't wait for the rest of the year ahead!
You are very welcome to Ms Finnegan's Junior Infant class blog. We have 23 boys and girls in our class and we are all great friends. Our teachers name is Ms Finnegan. We are very kind to one another, we listen to each other in class and use kind hands when playing in the yard. Our favourite subject is Gaeilge when we take a trip to see our friends Niamh, Oisin and Teidi. We will be posting updates on all the fun activities that take place in our class. Please stop by whenever you can to read all our news. Happy reading!
