New Greenschool Committee

We are delighted to announce and congratulate our newly-formed Greenschool Committee.
New Greenschool Committee

There are 24 students in total from 2nd to 6th classes. St Mary’s have already been awarded four Green Flags based on the themes of Litter and Waste, Energy, Water and Travel. We are really excited to kick-start our programme this year by creating awareness of these four themes throughout our school community. Our committee are already busy reminding their classmates of the actions required to ensure that we continue to focus on positive efforts to help our school environment such as bringing home our lunch waste, by recycling paper and card, by turning off lights when we leave our classroom, by not wasting water and through promoting walking, cycling and scooting to school.

This year we will commence our actions towards increasing biodiversity on our school grounds at both Belmont Avenue and Mount Eden.

Busy year ahead!
