The class enjoyed a great day out on Friday. We went to Skill Zone where we worked on our golf, baseball, tennis, GAA, soccer, basketball, rock climbing, rugby and upper body strength skills! After lunch we were then wowed by the movie Aladdin in the cinema. Thanks to Gillian and Catherine for joining us on the day. A great time was had by all...
The class have been working very hard on their individual projects based on a topic they are interested in. These were hand written and illustrated projects and they all turned out great! We brought them in to 4th Class to showcase and present them. Enjoy pictures of the variety of projects below...
We want to say a huge thank you to Paula who came in last week to 5th class to talk to us about how we can help the environment. Paula has come up with many brilliant ideas that can help make a difference to our planet and how we can care for it. Some ideas that Paula told us about were, bamboo toothbrushes, metal straws, beeswax wraps, wooden stationary, fair trade erasers, reusable shopping bags, making your own tissues from old clothing etc. She had so many amazing ideas of 'finding ways of staying away from plastic.' We watched a great video of Greta Thunberg who is an inspiration in helping us do better for the planet!
Thanks so much Paula!
Huge thanks to the parents of 5th class for organising our chocolate biscuit cake making morning!
