We want to say a huge thank you to Paula who came in last week to 5th class to talk to us about how we can help the environment. Paula has come up with many brilliant ideas that can help make a difference to our planet and how we can care for it. Some ideas that Paula told us about were, bamboo toothbrushes, metal straws, beeswax wraps, wooden stationary, fair trade erasers, reusable shopping bags, making your own tissues from old clothing etc. She had so many amazing ideas of 'finding ways of staying away from plastic.' We watched a great video of Greta Thunberg who is an inspiration in helping us do better for the planet!
Thanks so much Paula!
Huge thanks to the parents of 5th class for organising our chocolate biscuit cake making morning!
Thanks to Ms Murphy for organising a workshop for us today with the charity, Goal. We really enjoyed it. We learned about South Sudan and how Goal are helping countries all around the world who are less fortunate. We heard facts about the country and the problems they are experiencing. We did a Conscience Alley based on a story we heard using a scenario from South Sudan. We played In the River/On the Bank and we mimed a journey to a river. We can learn more about the work Goal do on https://www.goalglobal.org/
Huge thank you to Mr Joynt who took 5th class yesterday for a yoga session to help us to focus on Resilience Week. The class really enjoyed it and took a lot from it!
