On Friday 10th February every Primary School in Ireland was asked to partake in a mass physical activity break for ten minutes. First class completed a circuit style activity break. Activity breaks not only help increase children's physical activity , but can also improve concentration and focus.
First Class had a very fun day at school today as some of our Grandparents came to visit. Some Granny and Grandads were up very early getting the train from other counties to Dublin to come and visit. We showed them all the great work we have been doing in First Class and we conducted interviews with them. Our Grandparents admired our Grandparents Gallery full of our creative drawings.
It is Catholic Schools week this week and we have been busy with different activities to mark this special week. We will be hosting Grandparents Day in school on Friday, 3rd February and we really enjoyed creating our Grandparents Gallery for this occasion.
Brigid Brings the Spring!
As we celebrated Saint Brigid's Day on Wednesday, we wrote some acrostic poems and created colourful Saint Brigid cloaks.
We are in First Class and Ms. Greene is our teacher!
